Philip Zein knew that design would play an influential role in his life from an early age when we would dream about becoming a world-famous painter, sculptor and then architect. It wasn’t until in his late teenage years that he realized he possessed a natural talent for interior design. “I see space as clay, moulding into whatever my imagination can conceive”. PZ. He pursued his studies in Montreal, Canada and shortly after graduation started his career in smaller firms before moving onto larger notable companies.

Philip’s experience ranges from high end hotel and hospitality interiors to retail, corporate spaces and mid-high range residential. He has completed a variety of noteworthy projects in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and internationally. His previous role as a senior interior designer for one of Quebec’s top firms gave him the opportunity to work with some prominent clientele and conceptualize some exceptional projects.

Philip is inspired by the Scandinavian approach to interior design which encompasses a minimalist aesthetic, that blends natural and warm materials, understated design that follows function, airy spaces filled with light, multifunctional and flexible spaces, light and neutral colors opposing muted and dark hues.

Phaze i+d is a boutique style studio, specializing in mid-high range residential, multi-unit developments, vacation rentals, boutique hotels, hospitality and retail interiors.

The term phaze evolved from the interior design phases which is a work model that an interior designer follows when starting a new project. It encompasses the step by step process from taking a project from imagination to reality.
